Web Developer / Graphic Designer
Axis Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our Client based in Co. Antrim and urgently require a Wed Developer offering experience in Graphic Design
The successful candidate will be required to work alongside the IT and Marketing Departments by participating in a number of web based projects and electronic promotional activities and required to carry out graphic design tasks with Photoshop and offer back up technical support.
Key responsibilities include:
· Liaising with external Web Consultants in order to implement key web site projects
· Creating web pages using a variety of codes including HTML, PHP and ASP
· Updating and modifying existing web sites and web pages
· Carrying out graphic design work on web site images using Photoshop
· Testing web site functionality
· Managing web space / web hosting accounts; and Company web domains
· Creating and distributing HTML promotional emails
· Search engine optimisation / submission for external company web sites
· Providing technical support to the IT and Marketing departments
Desirable Criteria
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience of web development.
- Degree in an IT related discipline, minimum 2:1 classification
- Experience with producing creative concepts and implementing them in a web environment
- Experience in developing and maintaining web pages using – HTML, PHP, ASP
- Graphic Design experience using Photoshop and Illustrator
- Experience in the submission and optimising of websites for search engine results
- Experience of e-marketing techniques to distribute promotional material via email
- Knowledge of Microsoft Sharepoint products and technologies
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database system
