RECRUITMENT CONSULTANT
An exciting opportunity exists to become an integral part of our recruitment team - this is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious recruiter who is keen to make their mark on a new desk by providing a service based on quality without compromise.
Ideally you will act as an interface matching job seekers to business clients - through identifying and assessing candidate skills and employer requirements. Vacancies include permanent, full-time, temporary or fixed-term posts, specified by the employer in a brief. Liaising with businesses is a core task; building and developing relationships with new companies to widen the client base is essential.
Typical work activities:
A Recruitment Consultant's role is demanding and diverse and involves:
- using marketing and business knowledge to extend company contacts
- evaluating employers' business needs
- negotiating terms of employment
- interviewing potential candidates
In particular, typical work activities will include:
- canvassing (cold calling) employers by telephone to establish new contacts and their precise recruitment requirements
- documenting a Client's details and vacancy requirements in a remit
- clarifying and negotiating terms and conditions (code of practice) relating to the job role
- advertising posts appropriately - drafting and strategically advertising using a wide range of media, newspapers, magazines or local radio
- approaching suitable candidates
- reviewing applications, managing interviews, and considering candidates and short-lists
